I stayed in three different hotels this trip and I can say that this hotel prioritized comfort and hospitality beyond the rest. It was the little things like robes and slippers that really made this a delightful stay.
I was hot so I opened up the windows and got eaten up by some mosquitoes. I just put on some scented lotion the next two nights and I was find.

I cannot say enough good things about this property, the staff from the moment we got inside were very helpful and gave many suggestions on things to do locally. The location and views were incredible and we added the breakfast on which I am so glad because it was delicious.

Great everything! Close to everything in the city centre, absolutely wonderful staff, room was great, facilities were spotless! This is a “must stay” if you are ever in Ghent.

Great view overlooking the canal and close to city square. Bed is two twins pushed together so there is an uncomfortable crack down the middle. 10 minute walk to tram line and 10 more to train station. A great home base for visiting Belgium!
Our room, 311, was quirky, as the toilet room is separated from the bath and shower room. Automatic light in toilet room comes on full, even at night time, and automatically stays on for five minutes. But has a door that closes fully.

Location, location, location! Scenic, comfortable, great service and staff.
The first night we left all the windows open for fresh air and let many mosquitos in. Next 2 nights we used the air conditioning and it was much better.

Excellent location. You walk out of the hotel and you are on the river a d the beautiful Altstadt. Ghent, Belgium is top five of the most beautiful cities in Europe. This hotel is perfect for seeing the sites and feeling the ambiance of the city. Take a river cruise to see all the beauty.

Perfect location to walk around the center of Ghent, and a little further with a bike. The room was spacious to accommodate also our 2 little children. The breakfast was just perfect with a good buffet and a-la-carte options also available. The staff was superb.
Nothing worth noting and our stay was very good, so much so to exceed any expectations we had. If one really had to look for some drawbacks, certainly this property didn't come cheap and perhaps facilities could be slightly better for a 4-stars category in central Europe. Yet, nothing to bother with and again our stay was wonderful.

Great location. Upscale property with great service. Modern amenities and good breakfast.
Beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Some mold in the bathroom and the was pool dirty under construction.

I will highly recommend this hotel. It has a very cool vibe, amazing location and fantastic staff. The hotel is warm inviting but with a modern fun vibe. The staff were incredibly helpful anytime we had questions. The location is fantastic as it is right on the canal and it is in a great neighborhood with tons of restaurants and easy walking distance to all the sites. The rooms were huge by European standards and very comfortable. Honestly we stayed in 4 hotels on this trip and it was the only one with real air conditioning that cooled. The other hotels on the trip were also nice hotels, but the air conditioning in those were sub-par. The pool was a nice amenity when it was hot in the afternoon.
We loved everything...if I could suggest one thing, it would be to add cocktails outside in front of the hotel (where breakfast is served) at night.

The room was HUGE, which was great because we stayed here for 4 nights. The place is centrally located to the town, close to the castle, restaurants, bars, shops but it is a little far from the train station. But buses were easy to navigate.
You will need to go up a few steps from the street level to reach the reception and elevators (unless there is an alternate way that we didn't notice). So if you need help with stairs, carrying luggage up stairs, this hotel might be an issue. Also, the shower didn't have a shower curtain so water splashed out.
